The Piman Family Fitness Centre in Khon Kaen is a an absolute gem for getting fit, relaxing and having fun with the entire family. It is tucked away on Rop Bueng Road off the south east corner of Bueng Kaen Nakhon Lake. If you drive around the lake look for a Tesco Express on the corner.
It`s open to everyone and not expensive. compared to joining a gym in Khon Kaen. You simply pay when you go. Adults cost 150 baht children 50 baht. That price covers everything, all day.
There is a huge swimming pool. Deep and wide enough to swim lengths, relax and 3 smaller areas. Perfect for kids. Although the surrounding surface can get slippy. There are plenty of tables, chairs and recliners around the pool. They also have floats for younger ones.
Upstairs is a great gym with fixed and loose equipment, TVs and air con. There`s also a full sized snooker table but a little worn.There is a nice restaurant called Leomongrass on site serving Thai and western food. There are several other features like specialist English classes, and a small play area. Papers both in English and Thai are available near reception. And they’
re free. You cant say that much in Khon Kaen.
There are showers by the pool and nice changing rooms also with showers, shampoos and a sauna. Like everything else here the standards are good, the place is kept clean and the staff are on hand for anything.
I’ve taken my wife, sons and friends here and its never been busy. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is free WiFi as well. Once you`ve paid you can use all the facilities, all day.
